Sarah Horowitz was invited to participate in a panel discussion organized by the Maryland State Bar Association titled Opt Out to Opt In: A Panel Discussion with Lawyer Moms who Started Their Own Law Firms.
The panelists discussed how law can be a demanding profession, requiring long hours and an unpredictable schedule. When kids enter the picture, it can be a challenge for parents to continue to grow as professionals in our field, while simultaneously balancing the demands of parenthood.
The panel featured several moms who started their own law practices, and who believe that law firm ownership is an ideal solution for optimum work life balance.
