A Maryland licensed Attorney and Maryland and California credentialed Teacher, Jenn is originally from Southern New Jersey. She entered the University of Georgia in 1991. In 1994 she moved to Atlanta and transferred to Oglethorpe University earning a degree in Middle School Education. After college she lived and worked as a teacher in Southern Mexico until returning home to the U.S. in 1998. She speaks Spanish fluently. 

Upon returning home to the United States Jenn taught middle school in Howard County, Maryland living in Baltimore for almost four years. In 2001 she earned a Masters in Reading from Johns Hopkins University and became a state-certified Reading Specialist. 

Jenn resided and worked in Santa Cruz County, California from 2001-2012.  In California she worked as an alternative high school teacher in Watsonville and was an active Teacher-Organizer and Executive Board member with the Pajaro Valley Federation of Teachers She became an enthusiastic advocate on issues relating to Girl’s Rights, Juvenile Justice, Systemic Racism, and Public Education. As a strategy to improve her advocacy skills and impact, Jenn pursued a law degree and license to practice law.  

In 2012 she moved to Washington, DC and began law school at the David A. Clarke School of Law. During law school, mentored by extraordinary civil rights lawyers and law professors of educational and civil rights litigation. She served as a Student Attorney in the Housing  Law and Juvenile Law/Special Education clinic.  She was an Associate Editor on the UDC Law Review and received the Edgar Cahn Community Service Award, chosen by her classmates.

Post law school, Jenn worked as an Educational Legal Advocate with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender. SInce 2016 She has practiced a blend of Civil/ Employment/ Contract law through her small private practice where she represents small business, nonprofits and artists. In her role as a Teacher, Jenn is the Coordinator of the  Law & Justice program at Springbrook High School in  MCPS and an Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies at MC College.
