Sarah Horowitz

Founder / Managing Partner

Sarah is passionate about her profession as an attorney.  She was inspired to pursue this professional path by her grandfather, who was always so proud of his profession, and her mother who exemplified that the value of a law degree is limitless.

After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.A. in Communication, Sarah attended the University of Baltimore Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  During law school Sarah served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Law, and interned at the Maryland Department of the Environment and with Judge Patrick Woodward at the Montgomery County Circuit Court.

After law school, Sarah served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy J. McCrone in the Howard County Circuit Court.  Sarah worked at the Food and Drug Administration for six years, where she helped to protect children from tobacco related disease, and worked with Congress to protect the health of families and children.  In 2017, she founded her law practice, focusing on the practice areas of Estate Planning, Adoption, and Prenuptial agreements.

Sarah is passionate about fostering community.  She currently serves as the PTA President at the Ohr Kodesh Early Childhood Center, and is the immediate past Chair of the Ambassadors Committee at the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School of the Nation’s Capital.  She serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Ohr Kodesh Congregation.  She has served as a Coach for Girls on the Run, and has managed and organized countless soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball teams.

Sarah is passionate about her family.  She is married to her college sweetheart, David, and they have four children, Maya, Zachary, Aden, & Lily.  Her family superpowers include epic cross-country roadtrips, making their way through the top cookie recipes on the internet, and figuring out how to attend the highest number of youth sporting events on Sundays.

Sarah is passionate about adventure.  You can find her running or biking on the trails in Rock Creek Park, hiking up or skiing down mountains, and training for the Disney Princess Half-Marathon.  Sarah is passionate about pursuing a well lived life, taking time for friendships, reading, yoga, self-reflection, and meditation.
